Community Programmes

From time to time, we organize special programmes based on the needs of the community. The following are the current activities we have organized for the sponsorship community in the past few years:

Paediatric Medical Camps

A group of 10-15 paediatric doctors come together annually to organise medical camps for Children of the World, Delhi. The attendees are guided towards a diagnosis and a treatment plan. On an average, 80-100 children attend such camps.

Medical Camps for Parents of Sponsored Children

Often, the families of the CWD sponsored children need medical attention. Due to tough socio-economic conditions or the responsibilities of being the sole breadwinner of the family, parents avoid seeking help. To counter this very issue, medical camps are organized for the parents and families of these children and other community members in general.

Awareness Workshops for Sponsored Children

Awareness workshops centring around themes such as Right to Education, Gender Equality, Family Dynamics, etc are regularly organized to sensitize adolescent children from neighbouring communities.

Ration Distribution Drive

Since the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic, CWD has made efforts to support disadvantaged families in the communities adjoining the Dwarka Centre.

More than 100 families have been supported with at least one month of aid which includes dry ration (rice, flour, sugar, salt and pulses), sanitary items (handwash, detergent, hand sanitizer, soap), cooking oil, adult diapers.
