Children of the World Delhi (CWD) is a non-political, secular and not-for-profit NGO, registered under the Societies Registration Act No. XXI of 1860. CWD is recognized as a ‘specialized adoption agency’ by Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA), Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India.

CWD aims to help abandoned, orphaned and destitute children by way of adoption, sponsorship, and community development projects in the Delhi national capital region (NCR).

An organization that is committed to the UN Declaration on Children’s Rights, specifically their rights to special protection, social and material security, care and positive conditions for growing up.

Adoption is a life-changing experience that can have an incredible impact on everyone involved in the process. Not only can it benefit the adoptive parents, who have often tried for years to add to their families, but also most importantly, the adopted child.

What can I say about the absolutely incredible Children of the World! The children there are so happy, loving and affectionate. They look healthy, have a gleam in their eyes and are raring to go! Kudos to the management for looking after them so well.

I have had an extremely fulfilling and memorable association with CWD these past five years. My journey with CWD has proved to be a great learning experience for me. Inspired by my example, my circle of extended family and friends, too, have got involved with CWD.

CWD’s sponsorship programme in Manglapuri, a marginalized community in south-west Delhi is making a real difference on the ground. In spite of a severe resource crunch, CWD has left no stone unturned for running a successful remedial class. CWD's spirit of service and determination to help children is unmatched, and has inspired me to do more to make this world a better place for children!
