MAMTA
A residential child care centre, Mamta is the first port-of-call for children who are abandoned, lost, surrendered, or orphaned. Children are referred to Mamta by Child Welfare Committee (CWC) in New Delhi.
At Mamta, such children are provided with round-the-clock care, protection, shelter, medical aid, and rehabilitation facilities until they are either restored to their biological families or find a loving adoptive family in India or abroad.
With a capacity of housing 50 children between the ages of 0-6 years, there are typically 5-10 children here awaiting adoption at any given point in time. The centre has a team of well-qualified staff that includes social workers, caregivers, a nurse, and a doctor-on-call to look after the needs of children.
Mamta is recognized under the Juvenile Justice Act 2000 by the Directorate of Social Welfare, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
While we try to teach our children all about life,
our children teach us what life is all about.
