The concept of adoption rests on the idea that children thrive best in families than in child care institutions. That the loving, nurturing, and protective care provided by a family is the ideal soil for children to grow and fulfil their full potential.
This principle has been our work’s guiding leitmotif. When we receive a child at our centre, our priority is to try to restore the child to her or his biological family. If that is not possible, only then, we work towards declaring the child legally free for adoption.
Over the years, CWD has helped 1000+ children reunite with their biological families. We have also helped 1500+ children find loving and caring adoptive families in India and around the world.
CWD is recognized as a ‘Specialized Adoption Agency’ by the Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA), Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India. We are licensed to undertake both intra-country and inter-country adoptions.
